Characterization of Polymer Materials for Molecular Weight  

 

Impact Analytical has extensive capabilities in the area of molecular weight analysis.  Our state-of-the-art polymer analysis laboratory includes several Size Exclusion Chromatographs (SEC’s), with both Refractive Index (RI) and Multi-Angle Laser Light Scattering (MALLS) detectors.  The RI detector provides traditional molecular weight determination through standard polymer calibration, whereas the MALLS detector provides absolute or “true” molecular weight.  We utilize standard solvent systems, as well as non-standard systems (such as hexa-fluoroisopropanol) where needed.  Our detailed reports will provide you with the number average molecular weight (Mn), weight average molecular weight (Mw), z-average molecular weights (Mz) and Polydispersity (Mw/Mn) on both single and multi-component polymer samples.
