Impact Analytical, a wholly owned subsidiary of Michigan Molecular
Institute (MMI), provides contractual service to customers in the form of both short-term
sample analysis, problem solving and long-term research projects. The staff's expertise is
unmatched in the characterization of polymers, composites, and specialty chemicals. Core
laboratories include Mechanical Properties, Molecular Characterization, Microscopy, Thermal
Analysis and Separation Sciences. Impact Analytical takes pride in offering quality services
at competitive prices, and has the experience and an established track record that ensure customer
satisfaction.
For over 25 years, Impact Analytical has provided academic and industrial partners with quality
testing, data, interpretation, experimental design, and consulting. Our analytical instrumentation
includes: FT-IR, NMR, UV-VIS, GC-MS, LC-MS, ESI-MS, EI-MS, CI-MS, MALDI TOF-MS, DSC, TGA, DMA,
Rheometry, GC, HPLC, CE, SEC, SEM, TEM and AFM.

Impact Analytical provides analytical services and contract research to a broad range of companies.
The total number of active customers (customers that we have served in the last couple of years) is
over 500. Our current growth rate is about 50% per year.

What Equipment is Located at Impact Analytical?

Impact Analytical currently has over $4.5M worth of state-of-the-art analysis equipment. This
equipment is housed in 6 laboratories, which include Molecular Characterization, Separation Science,
Thermal Analysis, Mechanical Properties, and Microscopy. Recent additions
include a 400MHz Varian NMR system, two Waters Alliance Separation Systems, a Hewlett Packard 6890
GC (qualified and dedicated for GxP work), and a DSC autosampler.

Impact Analytical is an ISO 9001:2000 registered laboratory. We have also been audited by Dow
Corning and Allied Signal and both organizations certified us as an "Approved Laboratory."

What Does it Cost to do a Project at Impact Analytical?

Impact Analytical rates are $150 per hour. We work on purchase orders or on a contractual
basis. We also accept credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, and American Express.

How Does Impact Analytical Handle Confidentiality?

Impact Analytical has confidentiality agreements signed with many companies. We can quickly
provide a confidentiality agreement to new customers and readily start a project with them.
If there are issues of particular confidentiality, we will write special amendments to cover
the particularities.

What is Impact Analytical's Typical Turn-Around Time?

Impact Analytical's standard turn-around time is 7-10 working days depending on technique
and the number of samples submitted. We can do rush orders, when the equipment and personnel
are available for an additional charge. Research projects may take longer.

Impact Analytical's My IMPACT
website is our customer-only website that allows clients secure access to
their projects and reports. It allows you REAL-TIME status updates of your
projects, access to your project reports for downloading, as well as searchable
